Jim Smiley, Comox Valley RE/MAX Realtor
I was raised in a family of realtors and real estate investors and learned a lot about the industry before deciding to become a realtor myself. The most significant thing I learned at that time was the importance of building a relationship with clients. This helps both parties get through the home selling or buying process as smooth as possible. And as your family grows or your home requirements change, I want to be there to assist you when required by earning your trust and loyalty.
After spending 11 years at the management level with a national real estate development firm I discovered Vancouver Island in the 1980s and it was love at first sight. Since relocating to the Island in 1989, I’ve never once considered living anywhere else. Once you've called the Comox Valley home, no other place will feel the same.
I have worked hard to build a strong reputation for professionalism, superior service and integrity. I treat every transaction as if it were my own. I have the patience, empathy and attention to detail to help guide buyers or sellers carefully and calmly through all the red tape and paperwork associated with closing a sale. I have an excellent track record of successful transactions while focusing on patient, attention to detail on behalf of my clients. Representing a client properly means understanding that their needs and desires are of utmost importance and keeping an eye open for future value.
I am very involved and closely connected to the running community in the Comox Valley and around Vancouver Island. My involvement includes 12 years on the executive of the Vancouver Island Runners Association and 13 years on the executive of the Comox Valley Roadrunners (CVRR) including four terms as president and three years as Race Director for the Comox Valley Half Marathon. I am also an active cyclist and hiker with experience on most of the local and alpine trails in the mid-Island area. At other times you may find me in the pool or on the water. Golf was a big part of my life (prior to running and real estate) and I am very familiar with all the golf facilities in the mid-Island area.
I hope you get an opportunity to enjoy this region of Vancouver island as much as I have!
